On entendait depuis plusieurs semaines des bruits de couloir (même au sein des couloirs de Volkswagen A.G.)que le R5 TDi du Mulitvan ou du Touareg serait monté dessus , or pour des raisons de coût mais aussi de disponibilité, ce moteur ne sera pas monté sur la VW Golf V du moins pour les deux prochaines années.

Par contre les roues de 18 pouces du prototype VW Concept (voir les deux photos) seront conservées.

A noter que le TDI 160 ch en finition GTI ne disposera pas de la transmission 4MOTION, contrairement aux finitions "Sport" et "Carat" qui disposeront elles-aussi de ce moteur mais aussi de la possibilité d'accoupler cette transmission 4MOTION. <!--QuoteEnd--></td></tr></table><div class='postcolor'><!--QuoteEEnd-->

C'est plutôt logique, je ne vois pas l'intérêt d'un lourd 4motion pour une GTI.

Compte tenu du couple à transmettre le proposer en option n'aurait pas été un mal à mon sens.
