The new generation Focus will give a virulent answer to the attack from the Japanese carmakers, represented by the Subaru Impreza WRX and Mitsubishi Lancer Evo VIII. Ford will have again after a few years of absence, a Cosworth model. For now, the testing is done under the cover of a Focus RS body, which suffered modifications at the front bumper and a large air intake. Ford Focus Cosworth will have an engine with 4 cylinders with 300 hp. The car runs on AWD, and the manual gearbox has 6 speeds. The maximum speed is estimated around 250 km/h. The launch is programmed for 2005. Ford hopes to revive the success of the Escort Cosworth, which was produced between 1992 and 1996 and more than 7000 cars were sold.

Pas mal , mais a mon avis elle ne garde pas ce qui avait fait le succes de l'escort cosworth:
des ailes élargies , et un ENORME aileron en plus du super moteur.

Cosworth appartient désormais à Audi. La dénomination semble donc peu probable.

SUr la nouvelle photo elle est beaucoup plus dans l'esprit de ce qu'on pouvait attendre du successeur de l'escort cosworth
